In challenging times like these, everyone should be using their special skills to make the world a better place. So when I'm not making film and television, I discount my writing and strategic communication fees for non-profit organizations that operate exclusively for social welfare, civic improvement, pleasure, recreation, or any other worthwhile purpose except profit. Any arts groups, non-governmental organizations or well-meaning advocacy groups that work to create empathy for all people and our planet are eligible.

Past projects include creating an original short film for the Vancouver Art Gallery's donor gala and independently writing and producing the Urban Forest Train, a new story for the City of Vancouver's famous Stanley Park Train ride. A vintage miniature train ride through Canada's largest urban park, the Stanley Park train welcomes more than 200,000 visitors a year. ​
